Gather with other guests for complimentary wine and cheese in the early evening and enjoy conversation, chess, board games, cards or just relax in one of the large living rooms, one on each level. When the weather is cool, curl up on a sofa with a good book in front of the fireplace in the upper level living room. There is a good selection of books and magazines to choose from and a piano to play should you possess that talent. We also have satellite TV and a VCR/DVD player available in the family room for our guests to enjoy. The family room also has a telephone for guest use. Each guest room is equipped with a CD player/AM/FM radio. There is space available in the refrigerator in the lower level kitchen for guests to keep items needing refrigeration. We offer box lunches and picnic lunches for guests to take along. We will be happy to give you details and prices on request.
Relax on the deck and enjoy views of the Hazel River in the fall, winter and early spring or try the gazebo for gentle breezes and forest vistas. The gardens are always a delight to visit in the warm weather months. You are welcome to explore the farm, visit the horses at the barn or hike on our trails which we are continuing to increase and improve.Outdoor deck

Trail's End Ranch Bed & Breakfast is a Virginia Green Lodging B&B and practices environmentally friendly living. As part of our commitment, we try to implement as many green practices as possible.
- We use compact fluorescent light bulbs in most places in the house. Those that are not yet CFL bulbs are being replaced with them as the old bulbs burn out.
- We have low-flow faucets, shower heads and toilets throughout the house.
- Each guest room has a ceiling fan to help with air circulation and individual comfort. There are also ceiling fans in the upper level family room and the lower level living room.
- We recycle all plastic, cans, bottles and newspapers and ask that our guests either deposit their recyclables in the bins or give them to us to put in the bins.
- Our soaps and personal care items are organic and/or environmentally safe, as are our cleaning and laundry products.
- We use as many organic, locally grown or produced foods from neighboring farms as are available. We also use our own organically grown herbs and vegetables in season.
- Our gardens, lawns, fields and forests are not exposed to chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. We have been farming and gardening this property organically for the 23 years we have been here.
